RETRACTABLE SCREEN DOORS are a great idea, but not if they snap back unexpectedly to catch little fingers (or even big fingers, for that matter). Retractable screen doors have been around for years (as an outgrowth of the retractable blind industry that began in the mid-1920's). But despite their convenience and durability, they have never really caught on because of these safety issues. Those questions of safety are in the past now.
