I'm looking for a new straightening iron, I know that Chi makes the one of the best. I'm really not looking to spend that much, please recommend something that's not quite as pricey.

I straighten my hair in the morning.

by the time its noon, it get all puffed up and look like crap!

how cn i stop that?!?

i use Chi straightening iron.
sometimes you silk fusion to.

r there any secret to stop it.

i straigthen my hair in big hunks, but straighten it over like 10 times.

Accidentally left my straightening iron on this morning?!? Could this cause a fire?? Please help.?

Working with a new puppy put me in a bit of a rush this morning prior to leaving for work. I'm extrememly good at unplugging my stuff in the morning but for some reason I don't remember unplugging my CHI Straightening Iron that would have been left on my ceramic counter top. There is nothing next to it that I should worry about catching fire but now that I'm at work I'm worried about the 100+ temperature this thing operates at. I won't be home until mid-afternoon, does anyone know if this thing could cause a house fire????? Please help, I'm worried. Thanks.

I had a Farouk Chi straightening iron that stopped working. I've had it less than a year and found out that it is not covered under warranty because the warranty is VOID if purchased on the internet. I purchased it on Amazon.com, so I guess I'm SOL. Needless to say, I am TICKED at Farouk and will definitely not buy another iron from them. I was happy with it until it broke. I am looking for recommendations on another salon quality ceramic straightening iron, preferably one that someone has been using for a year or more so I know it's durable. Thanks!

just wondering. on the bottle it says that it is meant to be used on dry hair but i do not know if that means that i cannot use it on damp hair either. thnx

Hi, I am a young teenage girl frustrated with short, frizzy, curly hair. No product works for me. Relaxing sessions are too expensive and chemicals would probably already be bad for my dull, frizzy, dry, pre-mature greying hair. So, now I am turning towards straightening irons. I am looking for an iron is that works well on my hair which is short, frizzy, and extremly curly. I also want an hair straightener that is easy to use, heats up fast, minimizes damage on my hair, compact, that will last for a long while, and is that the most $100. I am planning to straighten my hair everyday so I 'm looking for one that's going to be easy on my hair. I was wondering if the Farouk CHI straightening irons are any good?
