so, i usually blow my hair out, then flat iron it, but with the chi flat iron would i have to do that to get pin straight hair? or could i just flat iron it without blowing it out?
Another question if the CHI blow dryer is good? would it make my hair pin straight? or should i get the flat iron?

I was using it the other day and it just quit and the light went out. Anyone else had any problems like this? Is it something that can be fixed, or am I just going to have to get another iron like I am thinking?
If so, anyone have any suggestions on what I should get next? I have thick hair and the generic chi (GVP) was the only one I found so far that worked really well with my hair and didnt take FOREVER. I was wanting the chi but they cost so much that's why i got the generic version of it but i dont want to have to worry about it doing this so soon again.
Any suggestions would be SO grateful!
