Will my appliances work in Europe?
I live in the US and I am wondering if my Chi hair straightener, my laptop, and my hairdryer will work if I can plug them in? Also, will I be able to charge my cell phone (will it work overseas anyway?), my iPod, and my laptop? Thank you.

You’ll need an adapter. You can buy one at a luggage or electronics store. Many stores at the airport have them as well. I bought mine on fligh in Brittish Airways.
Get one that is convertable. Keep in mind the UK has a different system than than mainland Europe, so you may want to get one that can adapt among the different voltages.
us- 110V, German 220Volts
Unless your straightener and hairdryer are dual voltage it wont work, You will need a transformer.
(I bought a cheap $12 dual voltage hairdyer at walmart before I came)
On the back of your electronics it will say the voltage capacity. On say my camera charger it says 100-240V so all I will need is an adapter (fits on the plug in of the electronic, then plugs into the wall)
transformers are heavy and anywhere from 30-60 dollars depending on the size you need.
Your US cell will not work in Germany.
(sorry, just realized you didnt mention where at in Europe you were going…I just know about germany’s requirements)
