Yes heat can damage hair but I used protection…lol (Like Chi Silk Infusion) Before using any type of heat tools. Plus I don’t use the chi flat iron much. Also use deep conditioner (like Aussie deep 3 minute miracle) , to restore damage. The chi cost me about $80, it was on sell when I got it!
Well my hair can stay straight for as long as I want it too, but since my hair gets oily so quickly I wash it after 4 to 5 days! Yes the chi works great on bangs too.

i meant you could blow dry your hair at home, ya know like blowing it straightening sections with a brush (sure you know) and im sure the chi is awesome!
you could use a diffuser to dry your curly hair. i do it sometimes, makes it alot less frizzy then just going at it
