GVP flat iron better than chi or wet to straight?
OK. so, Sally beauty is having a sale on GVP flat irons which is the Generic brand for chi's. they claim it works as good as a chi, but I want to make sure Im not going to spend $50 on this thing and have it break soon. Right now I have a wet2straight, and it works well, just takes a long time to heat up, and a long time to straighten my hair, so is it worth spending this $50? Is this GVP flat iron any better than wet2straight, or as good as a chi?
im confuzed =/
Emma
I dont have enough money for a chi. I will try to save up but it will take a LONG time...
this is my hair after air drying after a showerrrr. =]

u should get chi
Yes, you should buy the GVP!
I have one and I use it on my really curly hair, and it works wonders!
It’s really good.
But what sucks is that in Canada they sell it for about $90, so I bought mine at a really high price.
That’s a great deal your getting! Trust me, get the GVP!!!
My friend has one, and she brings it to school, (Everyone does because we have practice in the morning for vball/bball, and we “need” to do our hair) Lol, back to the answer.
well, im tried most of the straighteners, from cheap to expensive, cus i really dont want to lose my sister’s CHI.
and besides the CHI or babyliss.
The GVP is the best, it doesnt snag your hair like the cheap ones, and its glides down smoothly.. like your hair doesnt “stick” to the plates.
it doesnt heat as fast as the CHI but it probably heats up in 30-45 seconds.
It is very high quality and i would suggest you buying one.
i want to buy one but i dont want to damage my hair, and plus we have a CHI…
i just want my own. lol.
it is worth the 50 dollars, and like i said the babyliss is really good.
but it is around 100 too….
good luck, its deff. not better but it works as well as.
chi’s are very expensive and work great, but it depends on how curly your hair is, if your hair is very curly, then you should consider the chi, dont’t they have a warranty too? Wet to staright sounds like a cheap ass thing that I would never think twice about. You need a gold plated straightenr. I don’t think there is anything wrong with an off brand, I use conair because my hair isn’t curly enough for me to spend $100 on a chi.
chi works maddd good, but it heats up super quick and by the time you get done straightening your hair the iron is so hot that you can barely even hold it.
I bought the GVP from Sally’s and I have a friend who has the chi…we compared them and they both work exactly the same. I think that the GVP is definitly better than the wet to dry one because it gets a lot hotter a lot faster and works really well…you only have to run it down a strand of hair once instead of a couple times to get it shiny and straight….and…the GVP’s have cute covers!
