Flat irons…GVP…etc…?
Alright, I got the GVP (generic version of the chi) at Sally's 15 mths ago...and it has already quit working on me. I was using it the other day and it just quit and the light went out. Anyone else had any problems like this? Is it something that can be fixed, or am I just going to have to get another iron like I am thinking?
If so, anyone have any suggestions on what I should get next? I have thick hair and the generic chi (GVP) was the only one I found so far that worked really well with my hair and didnt take FOREVER. I was wanting the chi but they cost so much that's why i got the generic version of it but i dont want to have to worry about it doing this so soon again.
Any suggestions would be SO grateful!

I use a Chi hair straightener as well, but mine was one of those expensive ones from the salon for almost $200 (Canadian Dollars), I’ve been using it for almost 2 years and its still works great.
Another product that I’ve used prior to the Chi straightener was True Ceramic Pro (http://www.trueceramicpro.com/). I’ve been using that since 2003. But since I got the Chi, I keep the True Ceramic pro at my gym to straighten my hair after my shower.
Both are great products considering I straighten my hair 5-6times a week and leaves my hair looking shiny.
sometime amazon, or ebay (and even Sally’s sometime) has chi’s on sale for about 70$. every other straightener i’ve had has quit on me after about a year or so. I would say just go ahead and spend the extra bucks, and get a chi. they are the best, and they will last a very long time, and when they quit, you just send it back, and they’ll send you a new one!
